Why is my SSL still pending after 120 hours?

I can definitely understand how important it is to have a fully functioning domain and SSL for your store. I am hoping to gather some more context from you to see what next steps need to be taken.

Is this domain purchased via Shopify, or is it through a third-party host like GoDaddy for example? If this is a third-party domain - have you applied the DNS settings correctly? As a reminder, this is exactly how your DNS settings should appear in order to “point” them at your store:

  • On your domain provider’s website, log in to your account.
  • Find the DNS settings or domain management area.
  • Point the A record to the Shopify IP address 23.227.38.65.
  • If necessary, change the Host name to the [email removed] symbol.
  • Delete any other A records on the domain if there are any present.
  • Point the CNAME record with the name www to shops.myshopify.com.

Once these settings have been applied correctly, it should take around 48 hours for the SSL badge to apply. The fact it currently is at 120 hours suggests that some of these settings may currently be incorrect, or there may be another issue going on.
