We’ve been using the tap & chip since 2020 and we’ve enountered a problem that I’ve never seen before. This morning the Tap & Chip comes up as “network unavailable”. The message is in red and nothing I’ve tried has worked. It has a “Learn More” message but nothing happens when I tap on it. I’ve force restarted the app and I’ve shut down our iPad and restarted it and while it seemed like it might connect once it’s gone back to the same message. As this is one of our default payment methods I’m hoping this can be resolved soon. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention.
I can confirm that we did experience some issues with the Tap & Chip card reader in the Canadian market earlier today. However, our developers have reported that this issue has been resolved. If you’ve unpaired the card reader already, then please try pairing the card reader again.
Just to confirm, is this issue with the card reader persisting on your end?
I went and checked the tap & chip and it appears to be working now. I will keep an eye on it and reach out again if the problem reoccurs. Thanks so much.
Thanks so much for following up and providing this update!
