You’re following the correct steps to test the Shopify Payments gateway, however, it’s not working because you have a third-party checkout. On the screenshot you shared, I can see that the URL of the checkout shows a Bold Commerce URL. Testing Shopify Payments will only work on the native Shopify checkout, so instead, you may follow Bold Commerce’s guide on how to place a test order on their checkout.
I’m glad to learn you’ve decided to place a test order. This is a great way to see the customer experience and order flow first-hand. Doing so will help you make the necessary adjustments to perfect the flow. If you’re preparing for your launch, don’t forget to go through our launch checklist before you do so you can ensure you don’t forget to set up any crucial elements that are needed on your website for a successful opening day. You can access it anytime on this page.
Thanks for the update, @GPB ! I’m glad you were able to sort out the test order. Should you have any questions or concerns about making a test order on the Bold Commerce checkout, please feel free to contact their support team for assistance.
As per Bold Commerce’s Help Center, gift cards created in Shopify cannot be used in the Bold Cashier checkout. You may create gift cards through their app with the steps on this page and use them at the checkout. Bold Commerce gift cards come with a PIN.
