Why is my third party domain not connecting to my ecommerce site?

I was trying to link my third party Domain to my shopify site and now my shop,als-gardencenter,com is showing as not connected and my site is down with a DNS Probe Error. I followed the steps to connect my third party domain but it seems that it disconnected my shop.als-gardencenter.com.

The error I am seeing is

Do you have any advise on how I can bring my site back up? The site I redirected is now also gone bc it is pointing to Shop.als-gardencenter so both my sites are out of commission.

Any help is appriciated.

I checked this out by trying to visit ‘als-gardencenter.com’ (without the “shop” subdomain prefix) and this domain redirected me to your Shopify storefront at the ‘myshopify.com’ URL.

This lets us know both that the store itself is online okay, and that the root version of this domain has been correctly pointed to your Shopify store.

What we can check out next is how you’re trying to connect that subdomain ‘shop.als-gardencenter.com’.

Adding a subdomain to your GoDaddy account is something you’d need to do on that side of things, though I can confirm that as in your screenshot added here, you’d need to update the DNS records as per this guide in the domain registrar account.

In this case, GoDaddy support might be able to help you with putting this in place if necessary.
