As soon as ‘Summer 22’ was introduced it is sooooooo slow. I use Safari and it’s impossible to do anything at the speed that I was before. I’ve cleared my cache and all of the steps I’ve found online but it’s still painfully slow, almost unusable
Hi, @BrandDead .
Welcome to the Shopify Community, thanks for posting!
That is definitely strange to hear that you have been experiencing loading delays for this long. While Safari is a supported browser, we do find that it under performs and Google Chrome is far superior. That being said, I definitely appreciate if you want to continue using Safari due to preference!
That is great you cleared your cache. Did you clear it for all time? This is an important step that is often overlooked as clearing for specific periods might not resolve the issue. If you did clear for all time there are some additional troubleshooting steps I recommend performing:
- Ensure your browser’s cookie preferences are NOT set to “Block all cookies”
- Try on Safari browser’s private browsing mode.
- Why: This eliminates the browser or version of the browser providing errors.
- Solution: Update the browser, uninstall and reinstall the browser.
- Ensure your browser is up to date on the latest version
- Why: This eliminates the browser version providing errors.
- Solution: Update the browser, uninstall and reinstall the browser, use a supported browser.
- Try another internet connection (example, switch to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi).
- Why: This eliminates a weak internet connection or ISP issue providing errors.
- Solution: Internet based issue, speak to internet provider.
- Ensure you do not have any firewalls, VPNs (virtual private networks) enabled on your device or network interfering with Shopify.
I hope that helps! In the meantime, I would love for you to provide your store domain so I can learn more about your business and see what other support I can provide!
Yes, I’ve tried all of those things. my side is brand-dead.myshopify.com
Thanks for confirming @BrandDead .
Have you tried the Chrome browser to see if it makes a difference for you?
In regards to your store, I love the aesthetic! Two things I would recommend is to buy a domain and add policy links to your footer. Buying a domain will add professionalism and trust to your store. While adding policies to your footer continues to build on this trust. We have free templates you can use by heading to Settings > Policies > Create From Template.
