Why is my website translation app not translating certain terms?

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help out with this issue i have.

I had chosen to put the language of my website in French, and then changed it back to english.

I added an app to allow me translate in French but i am noticing that some parts are not translatable.

What i mean by that, is that the website was put back to English, and therefore, i managed to translate ( manually ) from English to French on most of the things.

However, some terms, such as ’ size’ and ’ Color ’ are still in French while should be in English to be translated into French.

Also, i noticed the same for the suggestions ’ You may also like ’ which does not appear in the translation options so unable to translate.

After contacting support from the App, i was told to contact Shopify for this.

Did anyone ever had this kind of issue?

Hi, so i understood afterwards that when you apply a translation and it
doesn’t show afterwards on your website it is because you need to do as per
the below:

Go to the APP

Select manual translation

From there you will see on the main page the below:

Can’t find newly added/updated items in the App? >> Click ’ Sync items’
Once you’ve clicked here, you should just a little bit ( About a minute or
so ) and when you refresh your website, the new translation should be
available.

I have the same issue. I have contacted Shopify Support - but they told me that the problem is in the app.

Actually Shopify Support never accept that the problem can be in Shopify itself…
