The new shopify Bulk Editor changes are abysmal. The UX design came from the brain of someone who’s never had to manage a website. I understand that the new bulk editor has the ability to bulk copy and paste features. What else? The answer: nothing of substance. And what of all the features that used to make going to the bulk editor useful? Those are gone too. You want specifics?
You can no longer expand column titles to view the full title of a product page.
You can no longer select columns in the order that you want to view them in (I mean, come-on guys. What in the blazes were you thinking here?).
I can no longer see all the tags on an item that has more than two tags.
I can no longer access the side bar menu. Why is the bulk editor forced full screen?
And the cherry on top of this nightmare/unmitigated disaster of an update is that deleting “/products,” from the URL doesn’t revert the bulk editor back to how it was when it was useful. Shopify, this update sucks.
And… Everything is now worse, from having to save multiple times when adding tags or inventory quantities, and the new inventory interface with pulldown menus, its a bad joke.
It is beyond horrible. I have over 20k items in just one category and the new system has completely killed my ability to change them. Oh and the saving of new products… You enter a new product after changing price, description, variants, etc. You click save and it just prompts another save. If you then click the reload button you have a 50/50 chance of none of it saving.
Every time there’s an update, it takes me more time to do the same task for no good reason. Its ■■■■■■■■■ and I would not recommend shopify to my worst enemy.
