Hi,
I manage a shop and and during a recent update of products I found that alt text for images is not displaying correctly.
There are several images within each product listing (various angles, info on colour ways etc) and on hover over the images, and when in slideshow/light box view, it displays the alt text for the ‘primary image’ for all the images within the product.
Within the shop admin, in the product listing editor, the images have the correct alt text.
It appears as if the primary images alt text is overwriting the other images alt text within a product. Its site wide, on every product, even ones that have not been edited since the initial set up of the shop several years ago.
Anybody else noticed this? Alt text is obviously important not only SEO but also for accessibility.
Any insight would be appreciated.
