Why is there a 92% dropoff rate at checkout on my website?

Hello there,

When I look at my analytics i have 14 persons who added to cart, 14 who have reached checkout, but in the end nobody converted.

Most of them even fill in their payment info and afterwards still leave.

When I look in the abandoned checkout folder in shopify admin, I see no signs of cancelled payments.

So I don’t know what the problem is. The add to carts are not the problem, but in the checkout everybody leaves.

Can someone please check if there’s something wrong or must be improved within the chekout?

Only Dutch & Belgium visitor in Dutch language. We advertise on tiktok to these people.

Ask them! Maybe your shipping rates are too high? If even one or two of them respond then that’ll be more information than you had.

I’d suggest offering them a discount on their abandoned cart in exchange for ‘their reason for abandoning their cart”.
