Hello @LMK17 ,

Hope you are doing well.

Can you please share your store URL and products URL in which you have set up the discount? So that I can check and get back to you.

In the meantime, you can use the iCart Cart Drawer Cart Upsell app to give a discount on ‘Buy 3 Get 1 Free’.

Hey, @LMK17 ! Welcome to Shopify Community!

There are a few common reasons as to why a discount wouldn’t work, and the most common one is when the requirements of the discount aren’t met by an order. Have you gone through the discount and checked that your order or cart complies with its requirements? If there’s a minimum order amount, has this minimum amount been reached? If there’s a limit to the times the discount can be used, hasn’t this limit been reached yet? Is the discount active? Feel free to go back to the Discounts page in your admin and view your discount. Make sure all requirements are met because if one isn’t, it would prevent the discount to work.

Another common reason is that you may be using an app or third-party checkout. Apps that use their own checkout will likely need you to reenter the discounts in their app for them to work. If you need assistance with this, you can contact the app’s support team. Simply go to the Apps page in your Shopify admin and click Get support.

Lastly, there’s a possibility that the discount isn’t working due to a local issue. Local issues are triggered by something on your device or your surrounding circumstances and they can be fixed by local troubleshooting. To see if this is caused by a local issue and attempt to fix the error, let’s perform some local troubleshooting steps. Please go through the steps below, then try to test the discount after each step, to see if any of these resolve the problem.

  • Clear the cookies and cache of your browser. After this, completely reboot the browser.
  • Try a different web browser, as well as an incognito window or private browsing window to rule out any browser issues. When using incognito, if you are still experiencing the error, confirm you have disabled browser extensions as these can change how the pages look.
  • Ensure the web browser is up to date on the latest version.
  • Try another device, such as another computer or mobile phone.
  • Try another internet connection (switching to a cellular network on a phone rather than wifi, for example).
  • Ensure you do not have any firewalls or pop-up blockers enabled on your device as these can interfere.

If none of the above is the reason behind the issue, feel free to respond to this post with additional details about it. You can send through screenshots of error messages if you’re encountering any.
