Why isn't my credit card accepted for monthly payment plan?

Hello! I just started my shopify store and when i tried to pick up a plan and select monthly payment it didnt accept my credit card and dont know what to do.

I’m sorry to hear that you are running into issues when attempting to make a payment for your monthly plan. If your payment method is rejected and you are using a valid credit card from Mastercard, Visa, or American Express, then please contact your bank for assistance. Here are a list of potential possibilies as to why your payment has been rejected:

  • If you use a debit card, then it must be co‑branded with Mastercard, Visa, or American Express. You can’t use debit cards that are not co‑branded.

  • Your credit card needs to allow for recurring payments in USD.

  • Your credit card needs to have international capabilities.
