The discount is functional on the desktop version of my Shopify store but does not work when accessed through mobile devices.

Can you provide a bit more context on this? Where exactly the discount is not functional?
Am I right to say you are wondering about the discount field not showing at checkout while on mobile? In both desktop and mobile view, the discount field is seen when clicking on “Show order summary”. The checkout set up is very rigid for security purposes and cannot be modified in this manner.
If I’m misunderstanding, please provide more context and screenshots if possible.

Please let me know what do you see when clicking on “Show order summary”. If you want please share your store URL here, so I can see if I can replicate the issue directly on your website.
If you’d rather not share store link, it might be best to reach out to our Contact Us page as this may require further troubleshooting. Once you log in, select the topic you’d like to discuss with the Support Advisor.
Then scroll down to the bottom of the page, where you should see the ‘Get Support’ section, where you can select your preferred communication channel.

Thank you for getting back and providing that information. I can confirm I am not seeing Discount section on mobile either I will need to ask you further questions in order to investigate better:

Would you mind checking if the discount is Active? It may be scheduled for a future date so your customers won’t be able to use it. From your Shopify Admin go into > Discounts > You will see the list of your discounts and the related status besides the Discount Code.

Did you product pricing apps such as Bold Custom Pricing, Upsell Cross-Sell Smart Tool by Autoketing, Best Custom Product Options, Variant Option Product Options and Selly United that will result in the discount field not appearing? This is because the app modifies the behaviour of the Checkout button on the cart page. This app, when checkout is clicked in the cart, creates a corresponding draft order. Our current Shopify checkout functionality is that draft orders can’t have discounts added by the customer, and this is why the discount field will not be displayed.
If this is the case, you would need to decide whether to use either the third-party app functionality or Shopify’s, but not both. If you want to use the app, it would be best to reach out to the developers to further assist you.
Feel free to let me know if it works otherwise we will need to investigate that further.
