when i download a theme is says ‘Adding theme name’ but the message never dissappears and the theme is never available on my themes dashboard. how can get a theme to appear on my dashboard?

Are you able to share some screenshots on what you are seeing on your end? Any information as well will help us understand your situation better and be able to assist accordingly.
In the meantime however, please review the following as it may help resolve this matter for us:
- please clear any cache and cookies from the browser that you are using.
- try to also go into incognito mode or private mode with your browser; trying a different browser is also a good troubleshooting step.
- please give this help document a review as well; it will walk you through adding themes into your admin settings.
