Why isn't my homepage video playing on mobile devices?

Topic summary

Homepage hero video not playing on mobile devices; the site owner says it fails across multiple phones. A site link was provided for checking.

Conflicting checks: one participant reports the video auto‑plays on their mobile, and another (CedCommerce) says it works fine on their end. They suggest the issue may be device‑specific and ask for details (iOS vs. Android and specific models).

Technical context: HTML5 videos often do not auto‑play on mobile browsers due to platform restrictions. On Safari (iOS), Low Power Mode can disable auto‑play, preventing videos from starting automatically.

Suggested actions: verify whether Safari’s Low Power Mode is enabled and test with it turned off; share exact device/OS/browser versions to isolate whether the problem is iOS‑specific or affects certain models.

Outcome/status: no definitive resolution yet; behavior appears inconsistent across devices. Key open questions include which specific devices are affected and whether browser/OS power settings are the cause.

The video at the top of the homepage isn’t playing on a mobile. I’ve viewed in on a few different devices and it doesn’t play on any of them. Any ideas?

Hi @Leeloo
For some reasone,
the HTML videos do not automatically play on mobile devices. On Safari browser, if devices turn on the Low Power Mode this is the reason the HTML videos do not automatically play on mobile devices.
