Problem: In Shopify’s Dawn 13 theme, a product page wasn’t displaying content referenced via a product metafield (custom field) linking to a Page.
Steps proposed: Add a Text block to the product template in Customize, then connect its dynamic source to the metafield to render the content. This made the page content appear, but not the page’s template/layout.
Clarification: To embed an actual Page section (with its layout/blocks), add a “Page” section in the product template and select the desired page. To show it only on specific products, create a separate product template and add the Page section there, then assign that template to those products.
Outcome: The issue was resolved by switching to metaobjects (Shopify’s structured content entities), which allowed building and displaying the desired blocks (text/images) under certain products. No further open questions were noted; discussion appears resolved.
hi! im using dawn 13 and i try to put a page with info under certain products.
the page is loading correct ( https://almost-summer.com/pages/creator) and i can see the content. i made a metafield and in the product page i set that i want to see the page
i have been trying things for hours now but i cant get it to work… i would really appreciate if someone who actually knows what she or he is doing would point in the right direction.
@jasss We need to customize to display the metafield in frontend. Please check whether you have followed below steps and let us know whether it is useful for you.
From Admin panel, Go to “Online Store” → “Themes”
Click “Customize” button in the current theme.
Go to the product page and select “Add block” as shown in the below image.
ah cool thanks! that almost works, i can see the page now but i dont see the page template that is associated with that page. is that not possible? im trying to put some blocks with info and images under certain types of products.

To identify which template is assigned to the web page or the product page, please go to the respective page from admin, there you can see the template under “Theme template”.
Note that, if you want to display the page only for specific products, we need to use separate template for those products and add page only for that template.
