Why isn't my online store's navigation working correctly?

I am having issues trying to setup my online store. The issue I’m having trouble figuring out is in navigation. I have everything set up correctly, as far as I know with the navigation, as well as with the collection of a certain product to keep organized into categories. when I go to view the store site, I click on the menu, click the sub category and its always the same. The products have not moved into that category nor does the page change to that specific category it always shows all the products on the home page. This is what shows on the right hand side of one of the pages when im trying to set up and move certain products into certain collections on my admin page.

I can definitely understand the urgency of this as having functional navigation is essential to your online store. Based on the information provided, it seems that you are running into issues linking your main menu to the appropriate collections. We have a few short videos that go over how to add a menu item, as well as how to create a dropdown menu item. I suggest checking these out for a visual guide.

Anyhow, here are the steps that you should follow to create your menu items.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Navigation.
  2. On the Navigation page, click the title of the menu that you want to edit.
  3. Click Add menu item and enter a name for the menu item.
  4. Click the Link field, and then enter a website address for an external website or select a link like: Collections that will show a specific collection or all collections.
  5. If you selected a collection or all collections, then you can filter the collection with tags to display only the products that match all of the tags that you enter.
  6. Click Add to save your menu item.
  7. Click Save menu.
