Theme: Impulse
I have added custom swatches to my product, but when clicking on each swatch image, the color variant label (color name) above the swatch is not changing. The label remains on the first color name, instead of changing to correspond to the correct selected color swatch.

You mentioned that you are having some issues with the Impulse theme as the swatches color variant label is not changing when a customer attempts to view a different color. Firstly, are you able to confirm whether or not you made any changes to your code recently, or installed any apps that may have any conflict with your swatches? If so, please try installing a fresh copy of the theme and uninstalling any necessary apps and see if the issue could be replicated. If this is the case, I would suggest reaching out to your theme developer and see if they can look to troubleshoot this bug with you.
