Why isn't my test message from Shopify email reaching my inbox?

I set up my Shopify email but when I send myself a test message through my “contact me” page it doesn’t go to my email inbox.

Is the email address a generic email (like a gmail or hotmail address), or is it a custom domain email (like [email removed] Keep in mind that the contact form submissions are sent to the Sender Email, which you can find under Settings > Store details.

If the sender email was set to a custom domain address, I recommend troubleshooting by temporarily changing it to a general email address instead. If you receive submissions on a generic address, that indicates there may be an issue with the custom domain email. Let me know how it goes if you’re able to test another address.
