Why isn't my updated announcement bar showing in the dawn theme?

Ok that seems to be fine..

On this part below on the theme customizer, could you show me the whole desktop including the side panels that you are using to edit.

No Worries :slightly_smiling_face: , that’s why we exist.

Could you just delete the existing announcements (all of it) then hit save, then Add a new annoucement and save again?

i did try that yesterday already and it didn’t do anything. but I’ll try again.

i just did. and now the announcement bar doesn’t show up at all after customizing again and saving. :joy: what in the world :sweat_smile:

Haha, I noticed. I am also very lost now. Can we try one more time. Remove the announcement bar you just created. Hit save and then create another one, but with the default settings (colors, text, etc…)

And while you’re doing that. If it doesn’t appear again, can you make sure there’s only 1 announcement bar. I see that there’s different code if there’s 1 bar and a different one if there’s more than 1.

Man, that’s mindblowing.
Could you go to https://themes.shopify.com/themes/dawn/styles/default and install dawn from scratch. Then add the announcement bar and publish to see if it works?

alright. the announcement bar is already there by default. so I didn’t have to add it. will publish right now

I guess something went horribly wrong with the previous theme. I’m afraid you’ll have to redo on this theme again. This time maybe do small changes and save each time. Try not to make huge changes all at once and then save, sometimes that’s not good too. Good thing is you have the previous theme for reference so open that in another tab, monitor and copy. Sorry about the trouble you have to go through for this.
