Any suggestions gratefully received. I update inventory stock levels but it is not always updated in the shop at pos. People are managing to buy products which the inventory is marking as sold out. Help please!

Do you mean you can still purchase through POS even though you marked the product as 0 inventory in admin? If so note the following:
If you’re using Shopify POS, you can continue selling products when inventory reaches zero and below. This is because the Shopify POS app assumes you have the inventory on hand if you are selling in person. https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/setup-inventory-tracking-pos

It seems our inventory is not being updated when a sale is processed via POS. This is causing online store inventory to show in stock (or incorrect stock). Shouldn’t either method (online or POS) adjust stick accordingly (with the understanding that it can essentially be overridden at POS…?
