Why isn't my website loading on iOS devices?

Topic summary

Multiple users report their Shopify websites failing to load on iOS devices, displaying white screens in Safari and Chrome browsers. One user’s site (varveda.in) shows an SSL certificate error on macOS Safari.

Key Technical Issues:

  • White screen display on iPhones across multiple models
  • SSL certificate not yet populated for at least one affected domain
  • Large images causing slow load times in some cases

Shopify Support Response:

  • Shopify supports only the latest two versions of major browsers
  • SSL certificates can take up to 48 hours to populate after domain connection
  • Users should verify DNS settings are properly configured
  • Recommended sharing browser versions and customer-facing screenshots for troubleshooting

Current Status:
The discussion remains open with no definitive resolution. Users are advised to check DNS configuration and wait for SSL propagation, though the underlying cause varies by case.

My shopify website https://esimhola.com/ not loading properly on IPad pro 2020 version. not sure what is the issue. It loads properly on laptop and android phones

Hey folks! Shopify supports the latest two versions of all major browsers, unless otherwise noted. There is a possibility that the operating system or app version of the browser on the device is no longer supported.

Can you share what browser version your devices are using? And if you can also share screenshots of what the customer sees when visiting the store that would be very helpful as well. Thank you!

@varveda I did test your store on my macbook using Safari and did see this error message:

This error message shows because your domain SSL certificate has not yet populated. This is related to the DNS settings for your domain. If you just connected it to your store then it can take up to 48 hours to populate. If it has been over 48 hours then you need to double check your DNS settings for the domain to ensure it is setup properly.

@tahirmirza I had no issues loading your website on my macbook.
