Why isn't my website's title tag showing?

The page title tag in the tab headers used for SEO isn’t showing. I suspect some leftover code is canceling it out from an uninstalled app, but I can’t find it. Any ideas?

  1. Go to your Shopify admin > Online Store > Preferences.

  2. At the top of the page, you’ll see the options for “Homepage title” and “Homepage meta description.”

  3. For the homepage title, you should prepare a title that is short and sweet that reflects what your business is.

  4. For the homepage meta description, you need to describe about what you sell and why customers should make a purchase from you in 2-3 sentences.

  5. Then you will see a “Search engine listing preview” section, with a blue link for “Edit website SEO”. Click this link, and the section will cascade to show some settings to edit.

  6. After finalizing your Title and description you can save it for indexing.
