Why isn't the main menu clickable in the Dawn theme?

In my main menu, I have a drop-down menu for one of the sections (Shop) I am able to click on all the drop-down options but not the main one which is already linked to its own page. I have the Dawn theme.

Also, I would like to note that I found this solution in another post:

but when I go to Edit Code under Assets I do not have the following option: /theme.scss.liquid

I pasted it at the end of base.css but it didn’t do anything.
