I am currently experiencing a challenge with the North theme on my Shopify store. Specifically, the nested menu is not displaying as expected. Despite configuring the nested menu items in the backend, they do not appear on the storefront. (As you can see in the image the nested menu is shown on the header but on footer it only shows the main categories and not showing the sub menus (Nested ones).
I have ensured that all settings are correctly configured, and I’ve explored potential solutions within the theme customization options, but the issue persists. If anyone has encountered a similar problem or has insights on resolving this matter, I would greatly appreciate your guidance.

Okay got it. If you are selecting the same header menu for the footer then it’ll not display the submenu.
Because footer file don’t have code to display nested menu. Footer will display only first level of menu item.
You can create separate menu for the footer and select as per your requirement.
Please note, it must be a single level

You have to create multiple menu. Which are not nested. Nested menu will not visible in footer as it’s not coded.
If you don’t get the idea, can help with this.
