Why isn't the search function in my footer working?

Hi all,

I have a search function in my footer as well as in the header. When clicking on the search function in the footer it returns the following:

Search
You haven’t searched for anything yet! You can perform a search at the top of the page.
RETURN TO HOME

Any idea why this is and how to fix it?

Hi @HerbalDimension

There could be some issue in the footer.liquid. Since each theme has different element, it would be best for you to contact your theme provider. They will have a developer check for you.
