Why isn't the shipping discount showing in my reports?

Hello,

We have just released a free shipping code for orders over a set value. It’s using the shopify discount code, not a third party app. The code is working perfect but the shipping cost/discount isn’t showing in any reports! This is making it impossible to check how much we are paying for shipping as we can’t easily separate the free shipping from paid shipping.

Below is a customers order showing it has been applied, then the same order under reports showing that neither shipping or discount has been applied.

Are you using any plugins for reporting? This seems odd.

I would tell you to check the order number. But I have a feeling you did that lol. I would reach out directly to Shopify support and see if they can help on this specific issue.

Hi,

No this is all using shopify codes and reports. We have had multiple orders that qualified for free shipping too but it doesn’t show for any of them.

Try the Sales by Discount report. You can customize the report to show the “Customer name” and other info, including the “Order name” (order number), and then export to sort, group, total, etc. using the CSV file.

The technical team are sorting the glitch out but this solved it as a temporary work around.
