Why isn't the www version of my domain working?

Team,

When typing “www” before my business name, it does not load and fails.

Our shopify hosted shop is https://busybeesoapsusa.com/

Can we get some assistance?

The www version of your domain (e.g., www.busybeesoapsusa.com) might not be working due to DNS misconfiguration. Here’s how to fix it:

  1. Check Your Domain DNS Settings

a. Go to Shopify Admin > Settings > Domains.

b. Click on your Primary Domain and ensure it is set correctly.

c. In your domain provider’s DNS settings. Ensure that the A record points to Shopify’s IP address: 23.227.38.65

Ensure that the CNAME record for www points to: shops.myshopify.com

  1. Set Up Domain Redirection

In Shopify Admin > Settings > Domains, ensure that the www version redirects to your primary domain.

  1. Verify and Propagate.

After making changes, wait for DNS propagation (can take up to 48 hours).

Use DNS Checker to confirm your records are updated.
