Shortly after opening my shopify store, I was surprised to receive an email a few days later to inform me of the ‘termination of my account’ because it was in violation of ‘section 7 of the acceptable use policy’. I am selling outdoors and casual t shirts/apparel with basic generic prints, so I don’t understand. Any advice welcome.
Hi @MountainMist ,
This is Theodore from PageFly - Shopify Page Builder App.
Shopify store termination due to “Section 7 of the Acceptable Use Policy” is understandable confusion. Here’s what you can do:
–Review Shopify’s AUP: Understand the restrictions outlined in Section 7, particularly regarding products, descriptions, or intellectual property.
–Contact Shopify Support: Explain the situation, emphasize your generic prints and compliance, and request specific reasons for termination.
–Appeal the decision: If you understand the issue and believe you can address it, appeal the decision with relevant information and a willingness to comply with Shopify’s policies.
Best regards,
Theodore | PageFly
Thank you! I do not believe I am in violation of section 7, but I am also unable to find an email address for Shopify Support. I was sent an email and told not to reply to it because it’s not monitored, and a link to a form that doesn’t open. Is there a phone number for Shopify Support? Thanks again.
