Why won't my product grid and page colors change?

Topic summary

Issue: Shopify theme color settings are not applying to product grids, product information, pages, and cart. The goal is to change background, text, and button colors without editing code.

Questions raised: What’s the best way to make product grids and product info adopt the selected color scheme? Is there a non-code method? Why might this be restricted compared to other user-friendly edits?

Recent update: The author fixed standard pages (About Us, Shipping, Contact) by hiding the original templates and creating new templates that do adopt the color scheme.

Current status: Product grids still do not reflect the chosen color scheme.

Details requested: A respondent asked for the store URL and password to review. The URL (9079cc-2.myshopify.com) was provided; no password was shared in the thread.

Notes on terms: “Product grids” refers to the product listing layout (often on collection pages). “Templates” are page-specific theme layouts.

Outcome: No resolution yet; further review and guidance pending.

The color scheme of my product grids, information, pages, and cart will not change after I select my color scheme. I want to change the background, text, and button colors.

What is the best way to get product grids, product information, and pages to adopt color schemes?

Is there any way other than editing the code?

What is the reason for this restriction? Every other part of editing has been so user-friendly.

Hello @hkcc

Please provide your store URL and, if it is password protected, please share the password so I can review it and provide a solution.

Hi,

the URL is 9079cc-2.myshopify.com
I managed to sort my pages out (About us, shipping, and contact)
I hidden visibility of the original templates and added new templates in which for some reason adapt to the coloc scheme.
I still can’t fix the product grids though.
