Im trying to connect my shopify account to shipstation and each time i try to connect it, it wont do it . I have contacted shipstation they said it has to be on shopify’s side i have tried everything regarding this issue
Topic summary
A user is unable to connect their Shopify store to ShipStation for order fulfillment. Both platforms are pointing fingers at each other as the source of the problem.
Suggested Solutions:
- Install ShipStation directly from Shopify’s App Store using the built-in API connection
- Have ShipStation support remotely access your system to configure specific settings and check required boxes
- Contact Shopify support with an order number to reset the admin panel, wait 2+ hours, then uninstall/reinstall the ShipStation app and create a draft order to test
- Use a third-party integration tool like ConstaCloud as an alternative connection method
Root Cause:
Multiple users report this appears to be a coding issue on Shopify’s end where order quantities display as “0” instead of “1” or higher, preventing proper synchronization.
Status: The discussion remains open with no definitive resolution. Users report needing intervention from either platform’s support team, with troubleshooting taking over a week in some cases.

Not sure if you figured this issue out. I had a similar issue where I couldn’t connect my Shopify to ShipStation, but I did not have the exact error code you did. What worked for me was going into the ‘App store’ in Shopify and searching ShipStation. It appears there is a built in API that connects the store; hope that works for you!
make sure you configure your settings.
Shipstation had to team on to my desktop. they had to go into configurate my store so that the area in had to be checked. You need to check a box. Once its done you’re all set.
@quickshipsteve If you don’t mind me asking what box needs to be checked? I’ve been going crazy with ShipStation and Shopify trying to figure out why the two cannot connect and all I get is these two pointing fingers at each other. Over a week of troubleshooting and screenshots and nothing has worked. If you could shed some light on how to successfully connect ShipStation to Shopify I would really appreciate it.
what I am finding out is that you need to have shipstation do like teamviewer, they told me the api needs to be changed too. so the order comes in and is 0 needs to be changed to 1 . show shipstation this too. shopify is working on a solution.
Contact shipstation. give them the order #, have someone get back to you. have them go share screen with you. I think its in a code and thats why its not accepting them.
Ok. So I inboxed shipstation support. They said to get to shopify support. Give them an order #, then they have to go in the admin panel and reset their side so it says 1 order , 2 orders, etc., then you have to wait maybe 2 hours, they prefer a couple of hours,
go to apps, look for shipstation, uninstall the app, reinstall it, go to orders, and go to draft, look for a product, create a draft order, and then see if that does the trick.
The problem is its a coding problem on shopify end. it says quantity 0, then it should do quantity 1 etc. then there shouldn’t be a problem.
hope this helps.
Hi @knicks212
I had a similar issue before. What worked for me was using this integration tool

It connected things smoothly, and their support was also really helpful. Might be worth a try!
