I have a bank account with a 5 digit account number, tried to talk to support about it and they basically told me i need a different bank account. I dont want to make a bank account with a whole new bank just to use shopify, any way i can get them to start accepting bank accounts with less than 6 digits?
Hi @LitSquiffyLNF ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I’m happy to provide some assistance with banking details, to ensure this gets resolved. To confirm I’m fully understanding, are you attempting to set up Shopify Payments?
If so, Shopify Payments has a few requirements that your bank account must meet in order to successfully begin accepting payments. These requirements include, having a checking and/or current account in the currency you’re selling in that accepts ACH/FPS/BECS transfers. Bank accounts such as savings or flex currency are not currently eligible.
While I can completely understand how this may not be ideal, you can certainly look at our list of supported Third-Party Payment Providers as an alternative. There are over 100 supported payment providers you can select from to begin accepting credit cards online. For more information on the payment providers available in your country, check out our list.
Please let me know if you have any other concerns.
Hey, i just wonder if I can use my go2 bank with Shopify payment instead of regular bank account… Is that possible?
