Shopify didn’t accept my credit card for purchasing a plan

Thank you for reaching out in our community forums about this. Have you had a chance to review our Billing FAQ and the supported payment methods we accept? You can find this information here: Shopify Help Center | Managing your billing information.

Some important things to note:

  • The card must have international capabilities.
  • The card must be set up to accept recurring transactions.
  • If you are based in India, then you can’t use a RuPay card to pay for your Shopify bills.

I recommend calling your bank to confirm that your billing card accepts international charges and recurring transactions.
