Why won't the discount code clear from my checkout process?

Currently, you cannot check out on my website without it apply a coupon to your order. The problem is that we have deleted that coupon and it still shows up. No one is able to use a new code. The discounts tab used to consist of “regular discounts” and “automatic discounts”, I dont see that they are separate anymore. Im not sure if Shopify is working on something and this is a glitch but I need to have a larger sale for this weekend and cannot get the coupon to delete. In the system, at one point, it showed the coupon code was “expired” yet it was still showing up at the checkout screen and was applying the discount.

PLEASE HELP!

Is that a discount code or an automatic discount , discount codes normally need javascript or an app to inject them on the customers behalf. If it’s an automatic-discount that’s typically a cache issue where either a browser needs it’s cookie/data cleared or wait for the server cache to clear after an indeterminate amount of time.

Make sure it’s not just your browser: try incognito mode, or a different clean browser with all cookies/data cleared. If the issue doesn’t persist clear your default browsers cookies/data.

Beyond that to help others aid you , you need to provide a url and reproduction steps so the website can be inspected and to reproduce the problem.

hi there! my website is www.kikilarue.com Anything you add to your cart gets an additional 20% off at checkout. Also, the option to create or do anything with automatic discounts isn’t on my dashboard anymore. Now, it just shows the standard discounts now. I dont see any options to edit automatic discounts and ive even deleted the regular code “coffee” which is what applies in your cart.

I checked and it doesn’t seem like just a discount code being passed to the cart.

Obviously leaving an errant automatic discount.

Check if you have an app that creates discounts and disable that.

Otherwise if these were old discounts rules you can no longer reach in the admin to manage then you should contact shopify support.
