I’m considering adding Oberlo to my account in order to supplement my standard selling products, will the addition of a drop shipping app, impact my normal shop settings and listings in any way.

Don’t worry too much. Oberlo is a dropshipping app made by Shopify that lets you source products from AliExpress suppliers. With Oberlo, you can import products to your Shopify store, edit the product listings, and place orders individually or in bulk. I could say that it’s safe for installing the app and won’t have a bad impact on shop settings.

I know plenty of merchants who sell items that they fulfill themselves as well as items they dropship using Oberlo. The one area that I would pay attention to is shipping rates, since if you have both your own products and Oberlo products, they would be shipping from different places. You can choose to have the same shipping rates apply to all the products you’re selling, or create custom profiles depending on where you’re sourcing the product from. Thank you for your comment. Oberlo is no longer offered, and it will officially be shut down as of June 15th, 2022. After this date you won’t be able to access your Oberlo account. If you wish to continue dropshipping, please either automatically migrate your historical data from Oberlo to the DSers app using our migration tool or manually migrate to any other dropshipping app.
