Hey all, if I import a large list of redirects via CSV, will those redirects just be added, or will they overwrite my current, manually added redirects? Thank you for any advice.
As of Jan 30, 2022, the answer is YES. Shopify’s help documentation on the topic does not make this clear as of this writing, but I can confirm by trial that when you import redirects, Shopify will update your current redirects to the new target URL.
Additionally:
- Any new redirects will be added
- Any redirects that inadvertently lead to another redirect will NOT be added (but Shopify will identify these redirects so you can easily fix them)
