I have tried to move contents from pages to metaobject’s rich text, but I cannot find ways to embed images.
Will the rich text have more feature (embed images, change text color, edit HTML directly, …) or not? If not, what is the best way to have images in it?

I was confused by this at first also because the documentation mention you can create a field for an image.
The field type is not called image is it called ‘file’ which allows you to upload an image.
Can anyone chime in if there is a way to embed images?
Also found myself in the same situation as well. I ended up using multi-line text to embed html. Though it does not have rich text support but allows for more flexibility.
