I have recently opened up my second store and my Shopify Payments still hasn’t been verified. I have orders sitting in my balance but I’m worried if I deactivate it and switch to something else those will be lost.
Any help with this and how long does the verification team take to get back to you.
That’s not what I mean. Our Shopify Payments are on hold because our address document could not be verified but we are still taking orders. So we have money from orders in our Shopify Payout Balance that is in limbo almost because our Shopify Payments are on hold if that makes sense.
I’m wondering if I deactivate it and switch to say, Stripe directly, will that money from the orders that we have taken be lost if we deactivate Shopify Payments.
I checked in with our internal teams to see what we might be able to advise in this situation.
While we can’t provide account support here publicly, we can confirm that if your account is eventually verified you would be paid out for those orders and if there is an uncleared hold on your account those orders would not be paid out.
I really need my account looked at asap. All my emails to Shopify Support Advisors have gone quiet.
I want to keep Shopify Payments but I can’t keep getting orders in and have no idea if I will be accepted or not, if not I will need to deactivate it which is my last resort.
Sorry to hear you’re concerned about this and have not gotten a response as quickly as you’d like.
As we’re not able to provide account support via the Community here, you’d need to wait to hear back from our escalated team regarding any queries you have on this.
Once your case has already been escalated to them once, they will reply via email to this query in the order it was received with any info they can share.
As long as you’ve already been in touch about this you have done all you can and your request is in the right place to get more info on this.
