I’m thinking about creating a webshop with the help of shopify including website design, pictures, etc. I want to do that upfront during the trial and then publish the webshop next year, of course with a paid subscription. Is my data saved when I create everything now and the trial expires?
Great question! If your trial expires, and you decide to return within a few months, your data should still be intact. Shopify retains merchant data for at least 90 days after a store is closed. However, it’s always a good practice to create backups of important data. For example, you can export your products and download your theme file to ensure you have copies of essential information in case you allow the trial to expire but plan to reopen the store in the future. Learn more about backing up data here at the link.
If you’re interested in starting your free trial, then feel free to sign up here. When you sign up for a free trial with us, you will enjoy a trial period of 3 days. After your trial ends, you will have the opportunity to access an “extended trial” for $1 per month for 3 months on Starter, Basic, Shopify, and Advanced plans. This extended trial offer also applies if you choose Annual billing on the Starter, Basic, Shopify, or Advanced plans.
If you’d like to get the basics done in that time, I’d suggest going over our checklist here at this page. I hope you find it most helpful. As always, should any questions arise, please feel free to reply here!
