Hi I am wanting to purchase the Wisepad 3 Card Reader to use for small retail pop ups. I will not be using the inventory from my online store but taking one off items to sell. Can I just input the item description in manually that I sell? Also, what are the credit card rates charged and how do I find out so my customer knows. Thank you

Yes, you can certainly enter item descriptions manually via the Shopify POS app, which is perfect for the one-off item since it doesn’t require syncing to your online stock — just enter each item as you sell it.
For credit card rates, if you use Shopify Payments with the WisePad 3, the standard in-person rate is typically 2.7% + $0.00 per transaction (though this can vary by country, so confirm based on your location), and you can find the exact details in your Shopify admin under “Settings > Payments.” To inform your customers, have a small sign in your pop-up with the rate or mention something regarding it as you’re ringing them up.
