With Scripts Being Phased Out, What Are You Using Instead?

Hi everyone,

With Shopify Scripts being phased out, I’m curious how everyone is handling the transition.

A lot of merchants have relied on Scripts for discounts, shipping rules, payment customizations, and other store logic. Now that they’re reaching end of life, what approach are you taking?

Are you rebuilding everything using Shopify Functions, or are you using a Functions app to make the migration easier without writing code?

I’d love to hear what has worked for you and if you’ve faced any challenges during the transition.

Hey @sophia24 .

For non developers, use an app like Discount Ninja or Bold Discounts. They run on Shopify Functions already, so you get the same results without any code.

For developers, Shopify Functions is the right long term move and is actually more powerful than Scripts once you learn it.

First step, either way, is to list exactly what your current Scripts are doing before making any changes!
