Hi, I’m trying to migrate around 550 products from Wix to Shopify. I’ve downloaded the CSV file from Wix and the sample CSV template from Shopify, then transferred all the data into the corresponding fields. However, the images, product descriptions, and some other details didn’t carry over.
Is there an easier or more reliable way to handle this migration?
Hi @technase ,
This guide might be helpful: Migrating from Wix to Shopify
Just a suggestion from my side — you can also migrate your products from Wix to Shopify using the Matrixify app.
Matrixify can import data from almost any platform by following these steps:
- Export your Wix products to a spreadsheet (CSV or Excel).
- Rearrange the file so its column headers match the Matrixify Products template.
- Save the file as Excel (XLSX) or Matrixify CSV.
- Upload it in the Import section of the app and start with a Dry-run — this lets Matrixify analyze your data first without making any changes to your store.
You can find more details here: How to import data to Shopify with Matrixify
If you need any further guidance, feel free to reach out — I’d be happy to help!
Thanks
Images need to be publicly accessible urls.
Product descriptions only apply to the first product, not subsequent variants.
Most text should be fine, but you should run a test on failing rows to figure out if there is malformed or unsupported content inside the description.
