How do I create an automation that will send an email when a specific item is purchased?

It depends who you want to send it to and what you have available.

Options:

A) If you’re wanting to send to the customer, try Shopify Flow (if your plan allows it) or use an email marketing app (like Klaviyo).

B) If you’re wanting to send an email to a staff member or vendor, you can use either Shopify Flow (if you have it available) or Order Automator to create a rule for this
