Workflow for changing inventory

Topic summary

Central issue: A merchant selling mostly online but also processing a few offline orders needed a simple way to adjust a single shared inventory without updating each product individually. They specifically wanted a table view showing all products with quantities that could be edited in bulk from one place.

Latest update: The poster found the built-in solution in Shopify under Products > Inventory, which provides a consolidated list of products and allows changing available quantities directly from that view.

Outcome and status: The request is resolved with the native Products > Inventory page. No alternative tools, APIs, or apps were pursued, and there was no disagreement. No open questions remain.

We have a shop that’s almost exclusively online, but we also process a few orders each week outside of Shopify. We are not able to maintain two seperate inventories for this, it all comes from the same pool. The workflow to go into each seperate product and lowering the available inventory there is tedious. Surely there’s a better way? What I’d really like is just a table of all our products with inventory number, and the functionality to be able to change the numbers, all at once from one view.

Does such a thing exist, or any other ways to manage this?

Ahh, Products > Inventory… that was simple
