Hello everyone,

What would be the best route to becoming a Software Engineer at Shopify?
I do have some experience but would want to know the best way to go about getting hired
I love the company and the mission plus I already have my own store so I understand the business model

I already filled out an application on the careers page but what would help stand out?
Creating PRs requests on Github for existing features?
Anyone to send a resume to someone on LinkedIn?

I’d recommend being an active member of this community to gain more attention—maybe answer a few people’s questions.

You could also consider developing a simple app or theme (if you haven’t already). Even offering one for free would demonstrate your ability to work with Shopify’s tools!
