can anyone please help, I stupidly gave the wrong account details and ive been trying to get this resolved for over a week now, ive seen other posts but they are from 2024 I wondering if there is any other updated posts that show how to resolve this issue. many thanks
Hey Nannieb,You’re not the only one in this situation this still occurs, and unfortunately Shopify hasn’t changed much since 2024 regarding this.
If the payout has not been processed yet, support can usually reverse or update the details once you verify ownership of the store and the bank account.
If the payout is already processed or marked as paid, Shopify can’t pull it back automatically. In that case, support will normally:
-
Open an internal payout investigation
-
Ask for proof of the incorrect account details
-
Request confirmation of the correct account you want payouts sent to
One thing that helps speed it up: reply directly inside the original support ticket instead of opening new ones, and clearly state whether the payout is pending or completed.
If its fine, you can share whether the payout shows as pending or paid, that changes the next step completely.
Hi @nannieb
If you provided incorrect bank information, the quickest way to fix it is to update your details through Shopify Payments or your payout settings. Make the changes in a duplicate browser or clear your cache, then go ahead and trigger a manual payout if you can. Save the correct bank info to prevent delays with future payouts.
