You need to contact the store. You can also share the link of the store here. Also you can report a merchant for an issue with the order or fraud on
For refund Shopify can not help you, and only way is thriugh store owner.
But to me, that sounds like a fraud, as there were several similar cases when people got a cheap toy or something random. COD is always used. So if you can share a link to the store so we can check it out.

Hi iam writing for order number 8596..I have received a wrong item. I paid COD, the courier guy wouldn’t let me check the package first and then pay, so I paid 1399 and then when opened the package it was some random vaccum cleaner. I want to return it and I want my money back. You write an email saying you can’t do anything about it, I have to contact the merchant only. How will that work, if you are running a business and offering people to sell on your store place, then you should be aware first of frauds, rather telling it’s the customers headache. Now this is getting frustrating. Only point of contact the merchant is via email and I don’t get any response. So technically you are answerable. I need my money back, shouldn’t loot poor people. I really don’t want to take this up on social media and also file a police complaint. I just want this to be sorted, I don’t want exchange, I just want to return it and get my money back! Thanks again in advance!
Yes you should raise awareness on social media. Tell them the store name, store website link, details about your purchase. This community board, however, will not benefit you whatsoever. This is a public forum, like Reddit.
What you need to do is follow the link @Laza_Binaery shared with you and report the merchant. Since you paid in cash, there is no bank to do a charge-back, so you are stuck with dealing with your situation until Shopify themselves can solve your problem.
Again, I think you do not understand where you are posting this message. I am a user like you, not connected to Shopify in any way. This is a public forum, and it is like you said to a random person on stree “My order is 8596, give me my money back.” How does that sound to you?
COD is popular with scammers, as for some reason, in some countries, you can send stuff with a courier and have no obligation regarding a senders address and info. I would contact the police then.
If you share a link to store I can tell you if it looks like a scam store or not.
