This is happening to me and it’s driving me insane. I’ve tried everything, even deleted the incorrect image from everywhere and it still uses it. I think it’s getting it from Printify (for me) and while I have unchecked that image from use it is not possible to delete it from Printify. But why does it have to grab the 3rd image? Why not the first like normal??
Topic summary
Users are experiencing an issue where Twitter displays the wrong product image (typically the 3rd or 4th image instead of the main one) when sharing product links from their Shopify stores.
Key Details:
- The problem occurs specifically on Twitter, not other platforms
- One user is using the Venue theme
- The issue has persisted for at least 2 years for some users
Troubleshooting Attempts:
- Facebook debug tool was suggested but doesn’t resolve the Twitter-specific issue
- One user tried deleting the incorrect image entirely, but Twitter still pulls it
- The problematic image appears to be sourced from Printify (a print-on-demand service)
- Users have unchecked images in Printify but cannot fully delete them
Current Status:
The issue remains unresolved. Users are frustrated that Twitter consistently bypasses the primary product image in favor of secondary images, with no clear solution identified.
