We have installed the XERO integration with Shopify in our backend. We have mapped and connected to XERO and there is a page that states ‘x number of invoices were created in XERO’
BUt is there a way of configuring so that XERO uses the Shopify invoice number?
Yes, with the standard XERO-Shopify integration, like the Cloudify Xero integration app, you can configure it to use the Shopify invoice or order number in XERO invoices. This keeps your invoice numbers consistent across both platforms, which makes reconciliation much easier.
Typically, this setting is available in the app or integration settings where you can choose to either use Shopify order numbers as invoice numbers or let XERO generate its own sequence. If it’s not currently enabled, check the app settings or contact support for enabling “Use Shopify order number as invoice number.”
This helps in maintaining consistency, reduces manual errors, and improves bookkeeping efficiency.
