I am trying to use a website theme that already contains tabs. It has a tab for measurement, care, etc aside from the general description tab. In Yoast app, I added all of this information under the main description with good headers to show nice separation. This made my SEO score great. However, with this new theme I am not sure how that will work. I would like tabs but will not risk my SEO rating for it. I. do not mind deleting the tabs. I would love a suggestion. Maybe there is somewhere that Yoast will count the score? If not I am happy to delete tabs. I just though it would be nice to have.
Hi there!
That is a really interesting question!
If the theme uses separate pages for the content of each tab, then most probably the Yoast SEO app is able to analyze the content for each page and provide results, recommendations, and schema data.
So using such tabs is not expected to affect negatively your SEO, as long as the content included in them is not duplicated (for example tabs with identical content and optimized for the same keyword).
That said, I would suggest contacting our support team, with more information about the theme you are using as well as some examples (product page URLs, screenshots, etc.). This way the team will be able to better understand your case, look into it, and provide a more accurate response or suggestion.
