My husband Alex and I had always dreamed of starting a family. When we found out we were expecting our first child after 11 years of trying, we were overjoyed and couldn’t wait to welcome our little girl into the world.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. I suffered a miscarriage and lost our baby, leaving us devastated and heartbroken. I didn’t know how I would ever be able to move on and find a purpose in life back again.
As time passed by, and with the support of my husband, my family, and close friends, I slowly began to heal and decided to channel my grief into baking since it has always been a passion of mine…
This is how Camila’s Pâtisserie was born, a small special place named after our daughter that specializes in Burnt Basque Cheesecakes, where the love for baking became the perfect way to honor our child and keep her memory alive.
We know our daughter is with us every step of the way, and we are grateful for the love and support of those around us.
